Anstruther Golf Club

Big character, breathtaking views and one of Britain’s toughest par 3s.

Parkland 📍 Fife ⛳ 9 Holes Par 31 Intermediate
A characterful nine-hole coastal course stretching along the shoreline between Anstruther and Pittenweem, just nine miles from St Andrews. Founded in 1890, Anstruther offers spectacular views across the Firth of Forth and a compact but surprisingly testing round. Its signature fifth hole, The Rockies, was voted the UK’s toughest par 3 by Today’s Golfer in 2007 and remains the course’s defining challenge.
⛳ Linda's Tip

Don’t let the short yardage fool you. Anstruther is full of character, and the famous 5th, “The Rockies”, deserves a bit more respect than its scorecard length suggests.
